The Lower Mainland District is pleased to welcome two officers to our Senior Leadership Team.

Assistant Commissioner Brian Edwards is returning to the Lower Mainland District as the District Commander. A/Commr. Edwards has served in a number of positions throughout the Lower Mainland, most recently as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Surrey RCMP. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience which will benefit all communities in the Lower Mainland.

I am honoured to be returning to the Lower Mainland District and look forward to working closely with Detachment Commanders and municipalities to ensure effective policing solutions

Chief Superintendent Shawn Gill will be assuming the role of Officer in Charge of the Lower Mainland’s Integrated Teams (LMD I-Teams). Stepping into this role, C/Supt. Gill will bring an experienced and strategic lens to our five integrated teams. Having previously worked as the Operations Officer for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Teams (IHIT), he understands the impact specialized policing has on the safety of our communities.

The model for integrated specialized policing in the Lower Mainland is an incredible asset to the communities we serve. The officers and personnel within the units are highly-skilled, trained and committed to supporting our communities with dynamic operations and investigations,

We would like to wish A/Commr. Maureen Levy and C/Supt. Bruce Singer all the best in their new roles and thank them for their contributions to the District and LMD I-Teams.
