Dylan Kruger unveils vision focused on infrastructure, economic growth, recreation projects, and transparency ahead of October elections

DELTA, B.C., May 27 (Khandoli) — Political activity in the beautiful city of Delta is heating up as municipal elections approach this October. The “One Delta” team has officially announced its full panel of candidates, led by two-term city councillor Dylan Kruger, who is now entering the race for mayor.
More than 500 supporters attended the official campaign launch held at Cascades Casino Delta, where enthusiasm and strong community support were on full display. Speaking at the event, Dylan Kruger described Delta as one of Canada’s best communities and said he believes the city has even greater potential for growth and success.
Kruger stated that the “One Delta” team includes 13 candidates from diverse professional and community backgrounds, all united by a shared goal of bringing Delta together and leading the city toward a stronger future.
Incumbent council candidates Rod Binder, Jennifer Johal, and Daniel Boisvert are seeking re-election under the One Delta banner. New additions to the council slate include Sylvia Bishop, Sarah Gallop, and Pawan Joshi.
For the school board, the team introduced Masako Gooch, Aman Dhillon, and Val Windsor, alongside Gurinder Kahlon, Jesse Bierman, Suraj Uppal, and Tamara Bissett-Lazea.
During the launch, Kruger outlined several key promises that would form the foundation of his campaign. One of the major commitments includes building a new full-service recreation centre in North Delta to provide better opportunities and facilities for youth and families.
He also announced plans to transform Paterson Park into a large-scale event space capable of hosting concerts, festivals, night markets, and major community events.
Kruger further pledged to establish Delta’s first dedicated economic development office if elected. The proposed office would focus on attracting investment, creating new jobs, and strengthening the local economy.
The “One Delta” campaign will focus on four major priorities: stronger infrastructure, responsible economic growth, new projects for youth and community development, and restoring transparency and public trust at City Hall.
The event also received support from former MLA Scott Hamilton, former school board chair Laura Dixon, and former councillor Bruce MacDonald, all of whom endorsed Dylan Kruger and his team.
Concluding the event, Kruger said the time has come to move Delta forward on strong foundations while bringing residents together to build a brighter future for the city.
Political observers believe the launch of the “One Delta” campaign has already added excitement to the upcoming municipal elections, with increasing attention now focused on the future political direction of Delta.
