11-Year-Old Jason Onyishi Reported Missing in Surrey’s Fleetwood Neighbourhood

Police and family are seeking public assistance after the young boy was last seen on the morning of May 22, 2026.

SURREY, BC — The RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) and Surrey Police Service (SPS) are asking the public for assistance in locating missing 11-year-old Jason Onyishi.

According to police, Jason was last seen by his family at approximately 9:15 a.m. on May 22, 2026. It is believed he was on his way to attend a nearby school in Surrey’s Fleetwood neighbourhood. Despite extensive search efforts by RCMP SPOSU officers, Jason has not yet been located.

Jason Onyishi is described as an 11-year-old Black male with a slim build. He is approximately 133 cm tall and weighs around 55 kilograms. He has short black hair and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, Jason was wearing black jeans, a blue shirt, and a black sweater. Police also noted that his right hand is bandaged.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Jason or has information regarding his whereabouts to immediately contact the Surrey Police Service non-emergency line at 604-599-0502.

Police continue to investigate and are asking residents in the Fleetwood area to remain vigilant and report any possible sightings.
