Prime Minister Mark Carney and Premier David Eby Unveil New Canada–B.C. Partnership to Accelerate Major Infrastructure Projects

A new federal-provincial agreement aims to fast-track critical infrastructure, support clean energy, and create jobs across British Columbia and Canada.

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Khandoli)— Prime Minister Mark Carney and British Columbia Premier David Eby met in Vancouver on Wednesday to outline a new agreement designed to strengthen cooperation between the federal and provincial governments.

The partnership will focus on speeding up the development of major infrastructure projects in British Columbia, including clean energy, electricity transmission, transportation, and other strategic investments that can create jobs and expand economic opportunities.

Both leaders emphasized that working together is the best way to build a stronger economy for everyone. The agreement is intended to reduce duplication, improve coordination, and ensure that projects move forward in a sustainable and responsible manner.

The initiative will help drive Canada’s transition to clean energy while creating new opportunities for workers, businesses, and communities across British Columbia and the rest of the country.

The meeting comes as both governments seek to strengthen Canada’s economy by investing in infrastructure, increasing energy security, and attracting long-term investment.
