BC Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses and dash-camera footage following a serious single-vehicle motorcycle collision that shut down Highway 97C north of the Highway #8 junction on October 27, 2025, at 2:15 p.m.
A blue Harley-Davidson motorcycle carrying two riders crashed on the highway. The 37-year-old male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while his 39-year-old female passenger from Logan Lake remains in hospital with life-threatening and life-altering injuries.
“Alcohol and speed are being investigated as contributing factors,” said Corporal Michael McLaughlin of BC Highway Patrol. “We are asking for public help to learn more about the motorcycle rider’s actions in the hours and minutes leading up to the crash.”
Police urge anyone who witnessed the motorcycle or has dash-cam video of the area to contact BC Highway Patrol – Kamloops at 250-828-3111, quoting file number (2100) 2025-3634.
